planet-friendly personal care goes beyond the product. It spans right through the whole supply chain. We look at how our products are packaged and manufactured, and where they end up at the end of their life cycle.We aren’t all scientists; interpreting a product’s ingredients can, therefore, prove impossible. Let’s shed some light on what every ingredient inside Tweakit is.Going beyond regular cleansing and conditioning, we’ve added some very specific plant actives into our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash blends to elevate your experience even more.
Preservatives are essential to product safety, preventing the growth of bacteria while securing longer shelf lives for formulas. Due to growing debate over parabens, we chose instead to use a synergistic preservative system based on naturally derived ingredients. Safe and skin kind.
Our shampoo and body wash blends are preserved using Sugar Beet Extract and Sodium Benzoate - a salt extract found naturally in cranberries, plums, apples, and prunes.Our conditioner Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Anisate. A 100% natural and 46% organic blend that offers broad spectrum microbiological protection.Each concentrated shampoo, conditioner, and body wash powder will last for three years inside the sachet. Once activated with water, your product should be used within one year.

Tweakit is the passion project of founders Anna and Ben. A couple, each with over two decades of careers in fast-paced, corporate worlds. Like so many others, we juggle a very busy, modern family life, yet have grown increasingly conscious of the sustainability crisis rising around us and worry about its impact on future generations.
The arrival of the global pandemic made us sit up and decide that change was needed, that it was time to stop thinking our actions couldn’t make a difference, and introduce changes that meant something to us, our communities, and our planet.Knowing what we could do seemed so overwhelming. And that’s where Tweakit came about - the idea that small changes can make a big impact. And we really believe Tweakit will.

We didn’t begin as haircare or sustainability specialists, but our formulations partner is the expert in this field. They commit to natural active ingredients, sustainable organic sources where possible, fair-trade supply relationships, natural product preservation, and absolutely no animal cruelty, ingredients, or testing. What’s more, with over 30 years’ experience in trichology and haircare industry management, our principal chemist knows just how important great product performance really is.
