The product is shipped pre-assembled. It is made with an A3 size Self-Healing Hobby Board. The secret is the patent-pending silicone edge. It is durable, soft, and flexible to allow freedom of movement and use, yet it is strong enough to keep the mess in.

The 1.5-meter-long silicone edge wraps around the entire Cut & Clear Hobby Board and is locked in place with an adhesive ridge. However, you can conveniently pop it out when you need to switch from the Centimeter Scale side to the Inch Scale side.
